CLASS MATERIALS: - PDF of piece you want to work on (copy for yourself and emailed ahead of time to Dr. Bunchman or Dan Ley) - Understanding of the character, scene, and story line - Word-for-word translation of your text ERIC GIBSON is a Flagstaff based stage director whose extensive experience directing opera and musical theatre keeps him in great demand. He is the Director of Lyric Theater at Northern Arizona University staging original productions of The Light in the Piazza, Kiss me, Kate!, Dido & Aeneas and The Magic Flute. Recent career highlights include original productions of The Mikado and HMS Pinafore for Union Avenue Opera, Barber of Seville for Opera Tampa and Mobile Opera, making a debut for Winter Opera in St. Louis, and remaining a regular at Fargo-Moorhead Opera, staging Die Fledermaus, The Pirates of Penzance, Madama Butterfly, and Hansel & Gretel. ​For a dozen seasons at LOOK Musical Theatre he directed over forty original productions including Die Fledermaus, The Merry Widow, My Fair Lady, Candide, Evita, Gypsy, Hello, Dolly! and nearly all of the Gilbert & Sullivan operettas. ​Recently Gibson debuted with Varna International in Bulgaria directing Così fan tutte, and upcoming projects include teaching acting and directing scenes for IPAI in Kiefersfelden, Germany and staging Little Women for Loyola University in New Orleans.
