Music Technology & Post-Pandemic Culture

  • Location 1

Service Description

Intro to Music Technology and Its Application Post Pandemic This workshop will cover good, standard practices for lessons, recording, streaming, and collaborating all within the cloud. Marc will share some of the projects he has been working on since the beginning of the quarantine in hopes to inspire your creativity and drive to continue collaborating. From an outsider’s perspective, music technology can seem overwhelming, but it is crucial to be open to trying these new resources considering the upper hand they can give you as an artist. Marc Rivet is an active solo and collaborative pianist, arranger, director, and educator. As a percussionist, Rivet has won a number of competitions and performed with groups such as Crossmen and the World Champion Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps. Mr. Rivet has performed and music directed for organizations such as the University of Southern Mississippi Theatre and Dance Department and Hattiesburg Civic Light Opera. He served as Chorus Master in HCLO’s production of "Evita" and Music Director of "Mamma Mia!" He has directed, lead, played, re-orchestrated scores, and designed his own main stage concerts for various musical theatre productions including "Cabaret," "Oliver," and "Hairspray."
