The purpose of the IPAI International Stage Management
Program is to providing practical training and professional development
opportunities in the areas of stage management and technical theatre.
The IPAI International Stage Management Program is located
in the Southern German town of Kiefersfelden and the city of Hamburg.The Program is co-sponsored with
StageEntertainment International, one of the world's largest producers of
musical theatre.
The IPAI International Stage Management Program will provide
training and professional experience for a select group of 6 students chosen by
interview from throughout the United States. Participants will receive daily classes on principles of
stage management, technical theatre, leadership skills and German.In addition, students will function as
company managers for the International Performing Arts Institute and for all
production elements of the Institute.
Students will also travel with to Hamburg to work with the
Production and Casting Departments of StageEntertainment.They will function as interns and be
able to participate in classes with world-class production and casting
professionals with the chance of obtaining future employment in the
entertainment industry. Tuition includes hotel, two meals per day, travel to Hamburg, classes, workshops and much more.
Tuition for the Stage Management Program is $3200 and is due in full by May 20, 2012.
